Multislice Computer Tomography

General Information

The computer tomography uses x-rays for the creation of high-definition images.

An x-ray tube and a ring of detectors facing it rotate around a longitudinal axis of the patient, the emitting x-rays are weakened on their way to the body region to be examined.

The ring of detectors measures these reductions, and by rotating movements of the x-ray tube, the computer is able to calculate a spatial measure of the weakened x-rays and to translate it into continuous images.  During the rotation several images can be produced simultaneously.  Using the most modern technology, we succeed in keeping the dose of radiation to the minimum.
