Scope of Examination

MRI of Joints

MRI is used for the examination of joints. Its images, help us to detect even the smallest injury and tear of tendons, ligaments, meniscus (cartilage), cartilage of the joints and muscles, as well as changes in the bones can easily be recognized.
Osteoporosis cannot be determined through MRI.

The spine can be very well examined with MRI, e.g. changes of the discs can be shown with precision.
Most often the knee and shoulder are being examined, but also elbows, hips, finger and foot joints can be shown very well.
In addition the examination can help in the diagnosis of inflammations and tumours.
