When is the best time for the examination?

It should be done early in your monthly period.

The best time for a mammogram is during the first week after your period.
The mammogram is then best assessed.  Should there be concern regarding a knot or other changes, the examination can be done at any time.  For post-menopausal women, time is of no consequence.
