Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)

What happens on the day of the examination?

Please come to our clinic for your appointment, remembering to bring along your referral slip. If you need help to find us, use the directions under "How to reach us".
The total time commitment is 60 to 90 minutes, including the preparation, the actual examination in the device (about 20 minutes), as well as the follow-up discussion.  Present yourself first at the reception so that we are aware that you have arrived.  While you are waiting, do note that we have scheduled appointments for several medical devices, and therefore patients who arrive after you may possibly be called before you.

What happens during the examination itself?
During the examination, you?ll be guided by our highly experienced team, who will be in contact with you at all times through the device?s intercom system.  Just lie back and relax on the examination table and follow the instructions.  There is nothing more for you to do.
The examination will last about 20 minutes.

What happens after the examination?
Following your examination, the computer processes the data images of your body.  These processed images will be sent over an internal network to be interpreted by a radiologist who will develop a diagnosis.
These images will be explained to you during a personal discussion with the physician,.
At the conclusion, you may generally take away the report and the images (also as a CD).
