Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI)

What are the limitations of  Magnetic Resonance?

Computer tomography is more suitable for the imaging of very fine bone structures, as well as a fresh hemorrhage in the head.

As with computer tomography, MRI cannot reliably differentiate between tumours and inflammations. In such a case,a further fine-tissue examination (histology) would likely be required.

MRI is virtually unable to image calcification in blood vessels.  Similarly, coronary arteries do not show up very well with the current state of technology; hence a computer tomography would be better suited.
